Compression reduces the space clothing takes up, not its weight. Always check your airline's baggage size and weight limits.

There is no fixed item count. A thin T-shirt takes up much less room than a thick sweater. Use the size suggestions above, check your folded clothing and avoid overfilling.

Check for trapped fabric or debris along the zipper, close it fully, and check that the valve is secured. Inspect the bag for damage before compressing it again.
